find the joy in your life

ok. so i know i said that i would become this crazy blogging machine and get back on top of this.
but it is hard. especially when i have no idea what to write about.
i guess it takes practice though. so i am trying!

lately i have been thinking a lot about bucket lists and what i want to do with my life.
here are a few of my thoughts...

1. get married to prince charming in a beautiful white castle.



2. raise an amazing family

3. become a nurse and help others in any way that i can

4. travel the world











there are so many more things that i would love to do, but i'll save the rest for later.

so much has happened...

i wish i could cover everything that has happened this fall to it's entirety, but that would be a very long post. so i will just fill you in here and there and show you pictures of what has been happening in my life lately.



i met this really great guy. and i have had a blast with him. we have been dating for almost two and half months now, and each day is always an adventure with him. i can't say that i have ever laughed/smiled so much in two months.



like i said...we have our adventures together. although this picture is not of jon and me, it is of his roommate and his date trying to do what we did. if you have never heard of trash bagging people, you should look into it.
it is worth it! (but make sure you get big enough trash bags!) ;)



i got a new job! i am still working with some wonderful elderly people, but i now go to their homes and i get to work with them individually. it has been a great opportunity so far. i love working one on one with them, they are all truly amazing people.



i spent thanksgiving with my wonderful family and we took some fun family pictures! it is so nice having them only an hour away (compared to thousands of miles away)



i scored a 199 in my bowling class! whoo! 7 strikes baby!
it was a miracle.

even though the snow may be pretty and fun for a couple of weeks, i am beginning to dislike it more and more. especially when going to school early in the morning in -10 degree weather.
past the cold...logan is such a great place!

It has been awhile....

I haven't been on in forever and summer is almost over!
Time has flown by and most of summer I sadly spend at work! But the times that I haven't spent there have been great!
I've made a lot of time for my family and we've had some really good times together! And other times I've spent with my great roommates and friends. :)
Summer has so far consisted of...
- A Montana trip
- Family Family Family
- A smidge of drama...
- Work work work
- Lagoon with a cute boy
- A purple and green paint fight
- What seemed to be a ton of car problems
- Missing my Florida friends
- Reading a few books
- Going to the cabin with my family
- Tons of Olive Garden with Tyler
- Cliff jumping
- Late night workouts/scary movies with Chelsie
- Fishing
- Running
- Movies and music
- Scooter and just recently motorcycle rides ;)
- And a lot of sleeping and eating!

I know I am forgetting a lot and this list could go on forever but it is late and I am calling it a night!
I will post again soon :)

sometimes i just go on these cooking rampages and i love it!!!!!
i wish i always wanted to cook something instead of go out to eat or heat up a microwave burrito or eat the original college student dinner....top ramen or macaroni and cheese (and don't get me wrong those two are always delicious!) but i would love to just be able to cook anything! and i am trying!
this week i've made raspberry dream cake (a delicious white cake covered in this cream cheese topping and raspberry danish dessert with tons of fresh raspberries!) it was a success, it is amazing!
and tonight for dinner i made this beef, mushroom, and onion pizza....kinda interesting! it's not exactly delicious but it's pretty good...it's just missing something :/
hopefully i'll keep up the cooking next week! but we'll see!

my dad is the greatest!!!

i look up to my dad for so much, he is one of my heroes - he is an amazing guy and i don't know what i would do without him!
i love him very much!

so lately...

i've realized that the girls in my family are very emotional, including me - don't you just love crying for no reason?

i have more stories about my wonderful retired people :)
i was helping this lady yesterday and she was telling me about this girl she knows and how she just got married and she said "now see don't you worry, if this girl can get married so will you eventually, just don't worry about it and he'll come to you, you two will date for a couple days, then he'll propose and then you'll be married in a week!" haha i wonder if that's how it worked for her!
that same day i was getting vital signs and i walked into my buddy's room and i asked him how he was doing and he said "i love you, it's too bad that i'm way too old for you!" :)
